Discussion of the rules
Scoring
Autocross, Road Course and Heads-Up Drag Racing
Additional Drag Racing

This event is designed to be a fun and safe event where everyone can run their car in a controlled environment. We have attempted and it is our desire to be fair to everyone; however, the tech and rules committee will have the final say in any controversies that may arise. We want everyone to feel that this is a fun event, and some of the rules have been changed to make everyone feel at home. Street class must run all events on the same set of DOT approved, unshaved street tires. The same driver must drive in all three (3) events. The highest class that a car participates in will determine the overall class in which that car is placed. EXAMPLE: If a driver has drag slicks, he will be placed in the Unlimited Class. If he has street tires for the Road Course that is acceptable. However, such a person's times will be recorded and scored in the Unlimited Class to make it simpler to determine the Overall Top Dog in each class. There can only be 1 driver per car. The driver of the car must own the car he or she is driving. The exception to this rule will be in the Pro class were non-owner driven cars are allowed. For your safety SA2000 Snell rated helmets are required. No exceptions! Drivers must wear at a minimum long sleeve shirt, long pants and closed toe shoes. No sandals, shorts or short sleeve shirts. Fire suits are recommended in the Prepared and Pro classes.

Autocross – Each driver will be given an opportunity to walk the track prior to the timed runs. There will be no further opportunity to walk the course after the timing has started, and we will start on time. Each driver will be given 3 attempts to post their fastest time. There will be no practice runs until after your 3 times have been recorded.

Road course – Each driver will be given a transponder at registration. Our tech volunteers can help you determine the best location for your assigned transponder. These units replacement cost are almost $400 each and they should be attached to your vehicle in a safe place. It is our intention to record all of your laps for both days. Your fastest recorded time will determine your finishing order.

Drag racing – Each driver will be given 90 minutes to run as many runs as they choose in order to post their fastest time. Your practice runs count! These times will be the basis for the bracket racing later in the day. Bracket racing DOES NOT count toward the TOP DOG or OVERALL GRAND CHAMPION Awards!

Top Dog – There will be 5 top dog trophies. The classes will be Big Block Replica, Small Block Replica, 4/6 cylinder, Proto-type/ Limited Production and Power adder. The winner will be the driver with the fastest combined time for all three events.

Example: Your fastest times on the three venues.

Road Course = 72.857 sec
Auto Cross = 45.114 sec
Drag Strip = 11.729 sec
Total Times = 129.761 sec

Overall Grand Champion – The driver with the fastest combined times for all three events.
