Tech Requirements

BRING THIS FORM WITH YOU TO TECH INSPECTION

TECH INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS:

* You are responsible for putting a safe car on the track. It is your responsibility to check all of the items below and sign off on them before your car is teched. The tech inspectors will go over these items and check them in general, but you will have checked them in detail before going through tech inspection.

* CLOTHING - Long pants, leather shoes are required; long-sleeve shirts required. Fire-retardant suites required for Pro-Class.

* OPEN CARS - All open cars must have a roll bar; single loop Cobra roll bars are acceptable. SCCA type roll bars recommended for the pro class. All Roll Bars must be attached to frame and fully functional and not ornamental.

* SEAT BELTS - Open cars must have competition type belts and shoulder harnesses. DOT type seat belts required in other cars.

* INTERIOR - Seats must be mounted securely; all loose objects must be removed.

* BATTERY - Must be securely mounted; terminals tight and in good condition. Positive terminal must be taped or covered.

* TRUNK - Al loose items must be removed.

* TIRES - Must be in good condition.

* BRAKES - Will be tested for pedal travel and fluid levels.

* BRAKE LIGHTS - Must be operational.

* FLUID LEAKS - None allowed.

* WHEELS - Check for tightness; remove hubcaps and rings.

* STEERING - Check for play; check wheel bearing tightness.

* GLASS - May not be cracked or broken.

* EXHAUST SYSTEM - Good condition and secure.

* RADIATOR OVERFLOW CATCH CAN - At least 1 qt. can required.

* THROTTLE RETURN SPRING - Two (2) required.

* HELMETS - Required by drivers and passengers at all times while on track. Snell SA 90 or newer required.

* CARS - Must meet the intent of being a Kit Car. All cars must be complete (as in the past), all cobras, real or replica, are welcomed.

* MIRRORS - At least one rear view mirror required.

* DRIVE SHAFT HOOP REGUIRED

* FUEL CELL AND OR SECURE GAS CAPS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Street and Prepared classes and REQUIRED for all Pro Classes.

THERE WILL BE MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETINGS EACH DAY. ALL CARS MUST BE TECHED BEFORE GOING ON THE TRACK; A CAR THAT GOES OFF THE TRACK MUST RETURN TO THE TECH GARAGE FOR REINSPECTION BEFORE GOING BACK ON THE TRACK.

A STICKER WILL BE PLACED ON THE WINDSHIELD INDICATING THAT THE CAR HAS BEEN TECHED AND IN WHAT CLASS IT IS COMPETING. PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER BEFORE GETTING THEIR CAR TECHED.

This is a fun event with the intention of getting people together to have a great time in a safe and comfortable environment. ANY UNNECESSARY RECKLESSNESS OR INTOLERANT BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AND MAY RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THIS EVENT AND THE TRACK.
