How do I find out more about the Run & Gun event and if it's right for me?
Where can I find a place to stay that's close to the track and where other racers might be staying too?
Why doesn't the event allow a participant to just run one or two of the three events and pay just for this?
Who is in charge of the Garages, how do I get one and just exactly what do I get for the $60?
What is the deadline for sending my entry form and how much and what happens if I'm late to the track?
When is the event over?
How do I find out about what tires are allowed?
Who can I call about classes I should sign up for?

Where can I find a place to stay that's close to the track and where other racers might be staying too?

Click on Hotel Info and see the complete list of places to stay. Many of us will stay at the Holiday Inn in Collinsville IL but we don't really have a main headquarters this year.

Why doesn't the event allow a participant to run one or two of the three events and pay for this?

In order to rent the entire track (Road Course, Auto Cross and Drag Racing) we have to have a certain number of participants. In order to have a top dog and king of the hill we have to add points received from the three different venues.

Who is in charge of the Garages, and what do I get for $60?

You need to RSVP your garage by calling Clois Harlan (918) 633-5336 or Dean Lampe (618) 322-6046. They are your ONLY contacts. DO NOT send the $60 to the track with your registration. The garages are actually a covered building with individual stalls for your Car. They are the same ones the NASCAR Busch series use! You can leave your car in this garage area every night. The track has security. Click on Garage Info to learn more.

What is the dead line for sending my entry form?

Early registration will save you money ($100) and of course help us figure the number of T-Shirts etc we need. You need to send $425 and your registration form for the early registration price. After 8/31/2008 you will be required to send $525 and the registration form. Yes, you can show up the day of the event and still participate IF WE HAVE NOT EXCEEDED OUR MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CARS. Even if you show up a day late you can still enter, but the registration will be $525.

When is the event over?

The weather can sometimes force the schedule to change. We have known thunder storms to arrive with just a few minutes notice. We all work together to maximize the track time we have and of course sometimes the weather just won't cooperate. Weather might slow the event or even force us to make changes. You will have a say in this decision. This is an event completely organized and operated by volunteer drivers and owners and it's subject to changes and we go with the majority votes in the drivers meeting.
